Scientist have taken on the task of studying “mood boosting values” from different things such as sounds, words, and visual stimuli to determine the happy effects on their subjects.

It turns out that the act of smiling “activates the brains happiness circuitry even when you don’t feel like smiling.” Smiling has been proven to positively affect your longevity, wellness, wellbeing and marriages. The ones with the biggest smiles fared better than those with smaller ones.

It’s proven that we are perceived more competent, courteous, likeable and better looking when smiling! Children smile over 400 times a day.

I found this reassuring because I’m fortunate to have this wonderful granddaughter that lights up my world when she comes to visit. Miss Ruby almost always has a big smile on her face. She brings me so much happiness and joy when she’s around. Smiling helps you and others too!
